Asia News Network
The Asia News Network (ANN) is a network of national daily newspapers published in Asian cities, organized to provide avenues for cooperation and to optimize coverage of major news events in Asia by Asian media.
The Asian countries are represented by one English daily newspaper each[1]:
- Bangladesh: The Daily Star
- Brunei: The Brunei Times
- Cambodia: The Cambodia Daily
- China: China Daily
- Japan: The Daily Yomiuri
- India: The Statesman
- Indonesia: The Jakarta Post
- Lao: Vientiane Times
- Malaysia: The Star and Sin Chew Daily
- Nepal: The Kathmandu Post
- Pakistan: The Nation
- Philippines: Daily Inquirer
- Singapore: The Strait Times
- South Korea: The Korea Herald
- Sri Lanka: The Island
- Taiwan: The China Post
- Thailand: The Nation
- Viet Nam: Viet Nam News
The ANN website is well structured into different categories, e.g. News, Business, Viewpoint, Features (Arts & Culture, Explore, Lifestyles, People, Science & Technology, Sports). Furthermore, it has a Sitemap, the ANN Magazine which can be downloaded as pdf-file, several XML Newsfeeds and an Archive which can be searched by month, by year, by section and by keyword.
